Don has been the Superintendent at Cottonwood Hills since 1993. Previously he worked at Valley View Golf Course for 9 years. Don was born and raised in the Gallatin Valley and grew up on the family dairy farm. He went to school and graduated from Manhattan Christian School. After the sale of the dairy farm in 1984, Don started working at Valley View Golf Course. He went through a nine hole expansion and a redo of the original 9 tees and greens.

 

After starting at Cottonwood Hills, the back 9 was added in 1994 and the executive course in 1995. Don has been a part of many changes at Cottonwood Hills. Such as tree planting, tree removal, tee expansion, a new green rebuild on #7 and many smaller changes.

Don has been married to his wife Dorthy for 39 years. They have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Don loves golf, to travel and visit his kids and grand kids as much as possible.
